To close out the year, I decided to do something fun and draw Sisqó to celebrate the year of the dragon.

2024 has been a good year and I am grateful to everyone who has helped make it so. Wishing you all peace and prosperity in 2025.

Illusion of Gaia - 30th Anniversary

Happy 30th Anniversary to one of my favorite games, "Illusion of Gaia".

(Released September 26, 1994)

Besides the incredible journey to stop the living comet, Dark Gaia, from destroying the world (again), one of my deepest memories from this game is the tune that plays after you save in the Dark Space. 

"In the Earthen Womb" is a song filled with wonder and hope for what the heroes will achieve in saving the world laced with notes of nostalgia and sadness for the people who were lost and the changes that come with time.

(I didn't have much to reference outside of pixels for Will and his friends, so I took some liberties with their designs.)

Stellar Blade - Eve

The first moment I saw Eve during the State of Play in 2022, I knew I had to draw her. The “Stellar Blade” trailer was for me one of the standouts of the show. Loved the demo, excited about the release. I’ve been a fan of artist and creator Hyung-Tae Kim since I first saw his work on the cover for “Magna Carta” on PS2 in 2004. So, it’s a huge and pleasant surprise to see his work in “Stellar Blade”. His work was among my early inspirations when I started creating my own stories and it’s really cool to see the next level of his visions manifest.

RESIDENT EVIL 5 - Happy 15th Anniversary / Sheva DLC

Couldn’t let the month close before drawing something to commemorate 15 years of one of the best games in the franchise, RESIDENT EVIL 5 (released March 5th, 2009). Sheva is definitely a top pick for greatest partners / comrades in gaming and hopefully we’ll see her make a return in the series. To celebrate her, I drew two of her DLC alternate outfits.

Godzilla Minus One/Minus Color

Friday, I went back to the theatres this time to see “Godzilla Minus One/Minus Color” in all its black and white glory.

Afterwards, I spent the weekend drawing this montage of Shikishima and the crew in anticipation of Godzilla’s Atomic Breath.

If G-1.0 ever gets a manga, give me the job.

In response to the overwhelming feedback online, I drew 3 more styles for Eddy Gordo.
#4 is a contemporary look
#5 is classic TEKKEN 3 Eddy (exchanging his blue hair tie for green to match his fit for 8)
